Q: My kids don't care for most healthy foods. How is yours different?

A: At Hungry Little Monsters, we use low fat dairy products including low fat milk, cream and cheese where it does not affect the flavour of our products. In addition, we love to sneak in hidden fruits, veggies and herbs, some of which we grow ourselves in our small vegie patch. We don't stop there! We also use only free range eggs and mostly wholemeal or multigrain breads. You will never find pre-packaged foods at Hungry Little Monsters and all of delicious creations are baked and prepared from scratch specifically for your order. We also limit artificial food colourings and flavours as much as possible.



Q: How do I organise or book with Hungry Little Monsters?

A: You may call, email or drop us a note on our Contact Us page to discuss food options, prices, etc. Once you have decided upon your menu selection and details, we will email you an order confirmation outlining all details, payment and also our food labels with instructions of safe storage and handling etc for the day of the party.



Q: I don't have enough room in my fridge to store all of the boxes when you deliver them until we need them?

A: Please let me know this at time of enquiry as we can suggest menu options where the food does not require refrigeration and is made to keep at room temperature. This is also a better option if you are intending on taking your boxes away from the home for your party at the park, beach etc as you don't need to worry about keeping them cool.

We will always supply your drinks separately in a small tray so these can be refrigerated easily without taking up too much room.



Q: When will you deliver the food?

A: As all our food is prepared fresh from scratch exactly to your order, we will usually deliver on the morning of the party at a time to be confirmed closer to your event. We offer a ‘drop and go' service, which means that you might need to refrigerate and re-heat some of the items before serving. If this is a concern, please discuss this with us and we will be happy to make suitable arrangements.



Q: How is the food packaged when it is delivered?

A: If you have ordered platters of food, these will be supplied in white catering boxes as they are the easiest to transport and store once you receive them. These are ok to serve straight from the box, however, for a nice touch you may want to transfer the food to you own platters and serving ware. We can supply white plastic platters for an additional charge if required, so please ask for a quote. If you have ordered food that needs re-heating, the catering boxes are not suitable for the oven.



Q: Where are you located and where can you deliver?

A: We are located in Perth, Western Australia and can deliver in the metropolitan areas of Perth. Please note, we cannot accept orders from other states of Australia or country Western Australia.



Q: Can I collect my food rather than pay for delivery?

A: Of course, we are more than happy for you to collect at a time suitable for us both. We are based in Perth, North of the River. If this is the case, there is no delivery charge to your order and no minimum order value required.



Q: What about food allergies?

A: Our kitchen is not 100% allergen free. Our menu items include fresh eggs, milk, and other potential allergen products. We use peanuts and peanut products in our kitchen, as well as chocolates that carry a nut warning. While we make every effort to ensure there is no cross-contamination, we make no guarantees about the safety of our products for those with food allergies. You are more than welcome to ask us any questions you may have regarding allergens and our kitchen.

For those with food allergies, for a small charge we will be glad to supply an empty box done up the same as the other boxes for the parents to fill with safe food.



Q: Is there a minimum number of meals or platters required?

A: When ordering individual boxes there is a minimum of 10. You can also include extra children's or parents platters to these without an additional minimum spend.

If you are ordering platters only or any other packages for an event, there is a minimum of $100 plus delivery charges, which can be made up of a mix of platters for the children and parents. If you are happy to collect from us, there is no minimum order value.



Q: Is delivery included?

A: There is a small delivery additional to your order. This varies depending on location, but we will confirm exact cost at time of enquiry.



Q: I need to make a booking shorter than 2 weeks lead time? Can you help?

A: While we do prefer 2 weeks notice, we understand that things can change and you may need our services in a shorter timeframe than this. If this is the case, please contact us and we will do our best to help out. Full payment will be required at time of booking confirmation to secure your booking.



Q: When do you require final names and numbers?


A: For all party bookings, the final numbers for attendance and names are required 3 days prior to the party. We will supply you with a document upon booking confirmation to list all attendee's names which is used to label the boxes. If you are ordering platters only, we do not require a list of guest names.



Q: Where is your food prepared?

A: We operate from a fully accredited and licensed kitchen. You will also be supplied with a food label compliant with the Department of Health guidelines at time of order confirmation.



Q: What are your payment terms?

A: We require a 20% deposit upon confirmation of order, with the balance to be paid by EFT 3 days prior to the event. We will also accept cash on delivery the morning of the event.



Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: We will be happy to re-schedule to another date suitable to us both. If the booking is cancelled, the deposit will be forfeited upon cancellation.



Q: Do you know of a cake decorator, party planner or other party hire companies?

A: Sure! We work in closely with a lot of the other party businesses, so if you are looking for someone please ask us for some further details.
